I am a registered psychologist who works with food addiction, disordered eating, positive psychology, depression and anxiety. I am passionate about brain health and nutritional psychology, and truly believe that a healthy, whole food vegan diet can have positive impacts on mental health and the overall health of the brain, as well as physical health, the health of the planet and the best interest of all beings. I have been vegan since 1998 and followed a vegetarian diet for 12 years prior to that.
I love doing yoga, essentrics, cross country skiing, hiking and playing tennis, as well as being a grandmother to my 4 lovely grandchildren and mother to my wonderful vegan daughters.
My husband and I have been on the Board of Vegans and Vegetarians of Alberta since 1989, shortly after the organization formed. I like researching and sending out information and I have done quite a few demonstrations and presentations related to the vegan diet over the years.
